Jeffrey's Story

From startups to public service.

San Ramon is home. I grew up here, went through our local schools, and graduated from UC Berkeley. What began as a study abroad experience turned into nearly a decade living in Europe, where I worked with startups and traveled widely around the world.

My path has taken me from spending a year working on Capitol Hill while still in high school, to conducting wildlife surveys in the National Park backcountry. I served on the City of Berkeley Transportation Commission and as a board director of a nonprofit housing cooperative before moving into entrepreneurship and technology. Taken together, those experiences gave me a broader perspective and an independent way of looking at problems.

Living abroad also gave me a deeper appreciation for San Ramon. I came home wanting to bring that experience back to the community, learning from the best ideas elsewhere while protecting the qualities that make this city special.

San Ramon has changed a great deal since I was a child. I'm running for City Council to focus on the fundamentals: safe neighborhoods, thoughtful growth, strong businesses, well-maintained infrastructure, meaningful public input, and a City Hall that listens.
